Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the filummtechs.com website and the appliance repair, installation, and maintenance services ("Services") provided by Filumm LLC, doing business as FilummTechs Appliance Repair ("FilummTechs," "we," "us," or "our"), a Florida limited liability company. By requesting, scheduling, or receiving our Services, or by using our website, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Area

FilummTechs is a mobile appliance repair business serving Duval, St. Johns, Nassau, and Clay Counties in Florida. We do not maintain a public office location; all service is performed at the customer's residence or place of business.

2. Diagnostic Fees & Pricing

  • A diagnostic fee applies to every service visit and varies by appliance type (see current rates on our Pricing page).
  • If you approve the recommended repair and the total repair cost is $150 or more, the diagnostic fee is waived for standard residential appliances. This waiver does not apply to built-in, luxury/hi-end, or combo/double appliance units, which are priced and diagnosed individually.
  • You will always be presented with the exact repair price for approval before any repair work begins. No repair work is performed without your authorization.
  • Prices listed on our website are typical ranges for reference only and do not constitute a quote. The exact price is determined after in-person diagnosis.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing at any time without prior notice; the price applicable to your service is the one confirmed at the time of your appointment.

3. Parts

  • Unless otherwise agreed, we install original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts. OEM parts are covered under our standard parts warranty (see Section 5).
  • If you supply your own replacement part, we can perform labor-only installation at the rates listed on our Pricing page. Customer-supplied parts, and the labor to install them, are NOT covered by any warranty. We are not responsible for part failure, incompatibility, or any damage to the appliance resulting from a customer-supplied part. If a customer-supplied part does not resolve the reported issue, the labor fee still applies.

4. Payment

  • Full payment is due upon completion of the service unless other arrangements have been made in writing (e.g., approved commercial or property-management accounts).
  • We accept the payment methods listed at the time of booking, including online payment.
  • You are responsible for providing accurate contact and access information; we are not liable for delays or additional charges resulting from inaccurate information provided by the customer.

5. Warranty

  • We provide a warranty of up to 365 days on parts and labor for completed repairs using OEM parts. Exact warranty terms are specified on your service invoice and may vary by appliance type and repair performed.
  • Customer-supplied parts carry no warranty of any kind, as stated in Section 3.
  • Our warranty does not cover: pre-existing conditions not disclosed at the time of diagnosis; damage from misuse, improper maintenance, or unauthorized repair after our service; damage caused by factors beyond our control (power surges, natural disasters, water intrusion, pest damage, etc.); or appliances moved or reinstalled by another party after our repair.

6. Limitation of Liability

FilummTechs' liability is limited to the cost of the service provided. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to food spoilage, water damage from pre-existing plumbing issues, or loss of use of the appliance.

We carry business liability insurance. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit liability for damage directly caused by our negligence during the performance of a service, to the extent such limitation is not permitted by Florida law.

7. Sealed System & Specialty Diagnostics

Sealed refrigeration system diagnostics (compressor, refrigerant circuit) and other specialty diagnostics (built-in, hi-end, wine cooling, premium coffee machines) require specialized equipment and expertise and are priced separately from standard diagnostics, as reflected on our Pricing page.

8. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • You may cancel or reschedule your appointment at no charge with at least 24 hours' notice before your scheduled arrival window. Call, text, or email us as early as possible so we can offer the slot to another customer.
  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a trip/cancellation fee of $35, to cover the technician time reserved for your appointment.
  • If our technician arrives at the scheduled time and is unable to access the property, or no one is present to grant access, this is treated as a no-show and the standard trip fee applies.
  • Repeated cancellations or no-shows (2 or more within a 3-month period) may require a deposit or full pre-payment to schedule future appointments.
  • We will make reasonable efforts to notify you promptly if we need to reschedule an appointment due to circumstances on our end (technician illness, prior job running long, parts delay), and no fee applies in that case.
  • For diagnostic appointments where the technician determines a repair is not feasible or not worth pursuing, the diagnostic fee still applies, as it covers the assessment performed.

9. Service Refusal

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service if, in our reasonable judgment, conditions are unsafe, the appliance type falls outside our scope of service (including walk-in refrigeration units, split-system HVAC equipment, and microwave ovens), or accurate diagnosis is not possible.

10. Website Content

All content on this website — including text, images, and logos — is the property of Filumm LLC, doing business as FilummTechs Appliance Repair and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
